This light transmission can be affected by calcium and other mineral deposits on the Quartz Sleeve. It is recommended that the Quartz Sleeve be removed every 6 months and soaked in vinegar or any calcium/hard water stain remover to dislodge these deposits. Replace if necesarry. The T-5 UV Lamp should be replaced every 9-10 months for maximum efficiency. Replacing the UV Lamp with Current USA brand germicidal lamp ensures the highest performance.
